Sport Bretagne

Sport Bretagne is a Public Interest Group (G.I.P.) made up of 17 members, with the founding entities being the Brittany Region and the French State. This unique form of governance enables the development of cross-sectoral projects close to the targeted audiences throughout Brittany.

Its four missions are a continuation of the activities developed since its foundation in 1945 (as a CREPS). These include:

• hosting the sports movement,

• providing training for careers in sports and recreation,

• supporting high-level athlete performance, and

• conducting research in the fields of sport and health.

Each of these missions contributes to and reinforces the others.
